HOP EARTH RACE MODE

RACE ANYWHERE.
START SMALL.

A recent developer update describes a race mode where you choose a start and finish anywhere in the world, then drive against the clock. Treat the live game UI as the final rulebook.

Make one clear route before you chase a time.

Hop.Earth's race flow is designed around places rather than fixed tracks. The developer's current public update describes selecting start and finish points, pressing Start Race, and sharing a race once the route is ready. Generated roads can vary by location, so a short, readable route is a better first test than a long cross-city challenge.

  1. 01

    Pick a connected, recognisable area

Begin with a compact city grid, coast road or landmark corridor. Dense junctions and terrain may be interesting, but they can also make a first route harder to read and generate.

  2. 02

Set a visible start and finish

Use a bridge, harbour, square or clear road segment as each endpoint. A route with obvious landmarks makes it easier to tell whether a problem is the game, the route selection or simply a missed turn.

  3. 03

    Start the live race

Use the current in-game Start Race control and wait for the timer or route prompts shown by the official interface. Do not assume an old screenshot or shared link uses the same labels.

  4. 04

    Recover deliberately

The current developer guidance describes J as nitro, a long press of J as a jump, X as an in-place reset, and a long press of X as returning the car to the road. Use the live prompt if it differs.

  5. 05

Share only a route you can explain

If the current interface offers sharing, include the location and a clear objective. Avoid presenting a planned or partially generated route as a verified record or guaranteed challenge for other players.
