Pin down where joining stops.
'Unable to join' is a symptom, not a diagnosis. The useful next step depends on whether the game fails before a session starts, during a location choice, or after the browser begins loading it.

Refresh the session once
Return to the official launch screen, end the failed attempt and start one new session. Repeated refreshes can preserve the same stale browser state.

Complete the sign-in flow
Confirm that the current official UI shows the expected account state before joining. Do not enter credentials anywhere except hop.earth.

Check WebGL and browser load
Update the browser, enable hardware acceleration if available and close GPU-heavy tabs. A graphics setup problem can look like a join failure.

Try a simpler location
Use a connected city or coast area for the next attempt. Record whether the problem changes when the starting area changes.
