HOP EARTH J KEY

THE J
KEY?

A current developer update describes J as nitro and a long press as a car jump. Use the live game prompt as the final authority before relying on either action.

J is the reported nitro and recovery key.

The most recent public race-mode update says J triggers nitro, while holding J makes the car jump. That gives a driver two different actions on the same key, so test it on a clear short route before using it at speed or around other players.

  1. 01

    Focus the game before testing

Click inside the official game and close any text field or overlay that is capturing keyboard input. If the outer page scrolls or a chat field receives J, the game does not have focus.

  2. 02

Use a short press for nitro

The developer's public update labels J as nitro. Test a short press on a straightforward road and observe the current in-game feedback instead of assuming an old key chart is still current.

  3. 03

Hold J only when you need the jump

The same update describes a long press as a car jump. Use it deliberately to clear an obstacle or recover from awkward geometry; it is not a substitute for checking where the route has loaded.

  4. 04

Recover safely if the route is unusable

If jumping does not make the drive usable, stop repeating inputs. Use the current reset guidance, return to the road if that control is shown, or record the location and follow the loading-and-road troubleshooting steps.
